Although you probably have to go to the shops for it, my favorite summer almost-no-cook recipe involves tinned chickpeas! Take one tin of chickpeas, add tinned tuna, pitted black olives (or capers), chopped red onion, and sauteed or roasted garlic, preferably straight out of the pan; season with olive oil and red wine vinegar or similar, mix, and eat. (Sorry for the unsolicited recipe, it just came to mind. I hope you are free of floods for the foreseeable future and that it's not too hot.)
