I think it may be time to dump the England men's team and call up the women against the Australians. After all, what the women might lack in size and power they surely make up for in knowing how to play cricket, and playing it damn well.

I'm considering that. Or only supporting the Scots. I mean, there's no reason why a minor counties side should be any good on an international level...

Well now, I'm not sure about that. I mean, English teams actually winning? It's just not ... cricket. We normally leave that sort of thing to Australians and people like that.

I feel I failed rather for not going to see any of the women's world cup. Whereas I spent a fair amount of time and money watching the England men's humiliation in the most recent Ashes series. Hmm.

I can't imagine them doing much worse. If nothing else, it might be worth it to see the heads of the Australian commentators implode.
