The pacing was *weird*. The only way I could make any sense of the excessive shots of gauzy horse riding early on compared to the bunched up plotting of episode 8 was to assume that it's foreshadowing and next series Galadriel will team up with Isildur's psychic horse.
I loved Morfydd Clark who was properly otherworldly and did a good job of making 'several thousand years of making sure this NEVER HAPPENS AGAIN while the world moves on around her' believable, and Joseph Mawle was excellent as Adar, but you're right about the script.
