Boots - for the last time

Thank you for all your comments on the boot poll. In the end I bought the buckled boots.

In the end, much as I adore the buttoned boots, I liked them more for their qualities as an artefact than wrapped around my legs.

Good decision. Too often I buy something because I love it as an artefact, choosing to ignore in the shop that it really doesn't look good on me. Result being that when I get it home I end up not wearing it. I'm struggling with a beautiful pair of Church's ladies brogues which I have fallen for, but in my heart of hearts I know they won't look good at the end of my rather short legs! Will probably pass.

I would love some classic brogues, yet I've never managed to find a pair that don't look awful on!
