They presumably wrote to one another a certain amount over the summer, so there might have been a sequence that went "Dear Peter, What you said about [something] reminded me of the time at Shrewsbury when one of the thrid years dragged us into performing The Masque of Queen Bersabe in the front quod (I was Aholibah, we drew lots and I lost)."
