Holiday plans
Feb. 19th, 2009 12:29 pmOn Tuesday it struck me that not only was it only 3 ½ weeks until I went skiing (good), but that it was 3 ½ weeks until I went skiing and I hadn’t done any training. Not good. Naturally I did what any normal person would do.
I decided to cheat.
Walking home from work every day (not the whole way, but 40 minutes) should boost my stamina. Speed isn’t an issue as I haven’t got the technique for it to matter. I do, however, badly lack strength. And that is why I have booked an induction session on the powerplate at the local leisure centre and will be doing it twice a week until I go. Thighs, triceps, and because I am female, indoctrinated, and why not take this opportunity, abdominals. Fingers crossed!
