Nash's real relationship with Innes would definitely be interesting to dig into, whereas Harriet's relationship with Rouse would disintegrate under scrutiny. I love the idea of a fic about Harriet being seduced by a seemingly dashing and principled Phil - admittedly one reader isn't much of a market, but it would make a fascinating prism through which to view her subsequent reactions to Peter.
