Three-day weekend!

To celebrate May Day on the first Monday is a (totally unsurprising lack of international worker solidarity, but it does guarantee that I get three days off work, if doing the opposite for other people. I shall spend it wisely.

* I need/want to go to town, which I haven't done since December other than flying visits to the GP/office. The sensible thing would be to leave it til tomorrow, especially as last Saturday I over did it not doing a lot and crashed all Sunday. Rest first! Though this probably means I will do too much today. I'll see how I feel at lunchtime. In any case, I must make lists.

* Some painting! I haven't since winter. Just some little playing about landscapes to use up what is on the palette would be nice.

* Some writing! I have finally got a book out of the library that will allow me to continue a fic I started at some point last summer, but couldn't manage with only the Kindle for reference. It's only a short fic, for goodness sake, but has stuck in draft stage all this time.

* Sorting out of sitting room and kitchen so that I can move some bits of Expedit/Kallax in/out and finish organising things begun when my parents were here the week before Easter. Bookshelves also need serious reorganisation having just had everything shoved on them when the new ones went in (Billy), but that will gave to wait.

* While doing the above I shall watch some of the Giro d' Italia. People who are not me working hard in beautiful scenery.

* Finally, I report that Søstrene Grene rosehip jam really is fantastic on granary bread with butter.
