If this is another cold I am going to scream. Three days! I had three days cold-free after the last one (which started on 23 March) finally seemed like it might have ended. Honestly, did I offend the God of Rhinoviruses in a past life?
I know we are generally meant not to cut off our noses to spite our faces, but it seems like your face has got above itself and might need a short sharp shock?
This current lurgy is evil. I've been ill for 18 days and each time I think I'm getting a little better it gets worse again ("Oh, my ears have cleared so I can hear again" - ten mins later, deafer than ever).
I don't think I've had a sore-throat/cough-free day since December. I haven't been to choir more than once since January. :(
It's been a ridiculous 12 months for them. I actually managed a run of about 8 weeks in Feb/March, which was the longest mostly cold free period I've had in years, but it in no way compensates for the rest. And as for singing :-(
I am trying to think of the nasal equivalent of fighing fire with fire but it sounds more painful than the thing itself.
I am going to continue to see if sinus pain maps to air pressure as I seem to be turning into my grandmother who felt the incoming weather in her bones.
Squirting Sinurinse up ones nose and forgetting to add the salt... I did it once and it was like hellfire.
My nasal bones/sinuses definitely reacted to air pressure for a couple of years after my surgery, but they seem to have stopped doing that now. I athink that it was about the bone healing rather than the congestion.
