nineveh_uk...Of the main fuse blowing at 10:30pm, the internet accessible by my phone tells me the contents of my freezer will be fine until the morning. I got a new fuse box last week. At such moments, there are upsides to being a tenant :-) And I did swear I'd switch my bedside light off tonight by 11:15pm and won't even need willpower! At least as long as I'm not tempted by Saki on the Kindle.
ETA: No, it was a powercut. It's just that this was difficult to tell at night when the neighbours on either side each had power, as did the two nearest lampposts. Evidently we are on a weird sort of circuit!
