Rain, rain, Go away

I had to go to the railway station and WHSmith. My trousers are wet to the knees, my feet were sloshing in my lace-up shoes. The misery was alleviated a little in that Smith's is adjacent to Next, so I have been able to change my socks. At least this gives me "don't want to get pneumonia" as an excuse not to attend the 4 o'clock Academic Registrar's summer party, complete with film for the Development Campaign.
