whilst watching Torchwood by the absence of the word Danegeld. I keep expecting someone to say it, and they don't.

And do we now have a reason for the comparative mildness so far of swine flu?

That was my first thought as well. Maybe someone thought the audience was too dumb to know the term. *sniffs*

I'd at least have thought that even if they didn't use the words that they mentioned the context. Surely one of the politicians would have said "Erm, and when they come in 5 years and want another lot?" even if the result was the same.
