Ooh, another beautiful tale! I'm sure that's what really happened! (I'm getting quite addicted to your storytelling!) I love it that Harriet has to take the reins, after all, she's not a shrinking violet, is she, but as they are both such emotionally damaged people I'm amazed they ever got around to getting married at all.
I hope it is not too impertinent to request you one day write up Harriet and Peter's wedding night - I'd love to read your idea of how Peter, with his legendary prowess, helps Harriet over her insecurity over the way Philip Boyes treated her and of course, Bunter's thoughts on what is taking place in the room above.
