There was one bit when if it continued like that I was going to need to carry on on crutches, but fortunately that passed and I merely took the metro a bit more than usual. Probably you are supposed to keep them up and rested more than I did, but it doesn't seem to have suffered for it. I have learned my lesson about not leaving the open suitcase somewhere stupid in future.
