Getting rid of some old paperwork in the quest for domestic space saw me trawling through a folder of receipts to see if there was anything I should keep* before binning the rest made me reflect.

(1) I used to buy a lot from Boden about 15 years ago (told you the paperwork was old), more than I remembered. Alas, their style/customer base changed and my tastes did not. I hardly get anything from them these days.

(2) Receipt for an adult moonhopper** - ordered from a company in Germany. I justified it as being good for balance and core strength, but I actually bought it for fun. And the only issue with the only company selling an adult weight one being in Germany was that postage was more expensive. Those were the days. Bloody Brexit.

* Yes, a couple of pieces in the middle that admittedly ought to have been filed somewhere else in the first place, but still justifying the task.

** Not what we called it when I was a child, but I can't remember what we did call it. I want to say "disco ball".

It really used to be affordable to ship things internationally -- especially books or trinkets that would otherwise get binned or shunted to charity (and eventually binned anyhow, likely as not), but with a right person for them somewhere, and now ...

*tries not to be a wistful bore, but dammit...*

I think I saw that called a “pogo ball.”
