I'm the opposite, ALL I use is oil pastels (but not chalk pastels) and colored pencils. I DO NOT PAINT. When people asked me what I wanted for Chanukah. I thought I told one person to get me a Blick Art Supplies gift card, but I told two of them, so now I am STOCKED for the long haul. I copy paintings, usually Impressionist paintings because they're smudgy already and I'm using oil pastels, and go to life drawing sessions. I use colored paper for that, so I can use my white pencil, whee!
