It was very much a Covid hit! Like the sudden arrival of Scandi noir a decade or so previously, here was this new source of good and novel television at a time people really needed some. I was thinking of the ex-fiancee and dodgy bloke she falls for. I really liked how their relationship and characters developed together. The North Korean reluctant spy couple were sweet, and I was glad they got a happy ending to their complicated situation.
That's interesting about the role of water in shifts - more Korean cultural context I lack. I think it is probably time I watched another Kdrama soon, I've not seen very many.
