A fate worse than death

It isn’t that I was contemplating Peter/Bunter ‘fuck or die’ fic during the meeting that’s so bad. It’s that I was chairing the meeting at the time.
Peter canonically prefers death to embarrassment. Bunter, on the other hand, is not hampered by being a gentleman.

Date: 2013-07-11 05:04 pm (UTC)I spent last night at the secondary school Celebration Of Achievement Evening and all I came up with to entertain myself was literary references to prize-givings. There may have to be a quiz.

Date: 2013-07-11 05:43 pm (UTC)JS reported on the implementation of pension auto-enrolment and procedures for opt-out. The committe noted that Mervyn Bunter, though accepting his lordship's disinclination for the circumstances, observed that death was considerably more unpleasant and that if his lordship felt unable to do the honours, he would make the attempt himself.
There should be a quiz.

Isn't it Harriet who would rather see him dead than embarrassed? Not that I can quite remember where. I feel he should have some say in the matter and possibly if push came to shove, as it were, Harriet might change her mind.
There will be a quiz once I have proofread 8,000 appallingly written words about the manufacture of socks. I am deliberately working at night because I did children's swimming after school. This is allowed.

Date: 2013-07-11 09:05 pm (UTC)Harriet says that P. would rather see her dead than embarrassed. Though the question of who exactly she would be embarrassed for is left unsaid.
I can scarcely imagine 8000 good words about the manufacture of socks, let alone appalling ones.

Ah, true (re. Harriet). I still feel it's the person who is potentially embarrassed that should get to decide, not anyone else.

Date: 2013-07-12 09:35 pm (UTC)I shall ponder what does make Harriet embarrassed on the train.
