I am compensating for the annoyance of Freesat not having the Drama channel by working to the radio version (Ann Bell).

I would rather have Drama than The Horror Channel. I have CBS Drama but it is mostly Dallas and Judge Judy, which is Not The Same Thing At All. I consider not being able to view Dave as a plus.

It was naive of me too. The TV aerial on the roof is pointing the wrong way or isn't connected to anything or something and there was an existing dish so we went with that, but it has odd disadvantages.

Thanks for the heads-up, off to program the recorder now.

I am grateful to a person on the "LPW Appreciation Society" on FB who spotted it!

Oh, to be in England, now that Wimsey's there!

We are behind on "Downton Abbey," too, but it was quite lovely to spot Harriet Walter in the Dowager's company last Sunday.

I have to admit that I stopped watching Downton around then because it was annoying me too much! I do regret the lovely costumes, though.

Thanks for the heads-up, as our American cousins say; maddeningly, I haven't the energy to watch television this evening.

True, although I am often exhausted on a Thursday evening after looking after my grandsons all day!

Good, wasn't it? I'd not seen it before; I note the involvement of two alumni of Public Eye, Michael Chapman and Philip Broadley, as producer and screenwriter.

I've got the videos, but putting it on my DVR makes it even more accessible and will prompt a re-watch. It is good. I think that HHC is the best adaptation, and Gaudy Night the worst (the writers clearly thought that women's colleges are weird and boring).

Thanks! I don't have access to your channels, but I DO have those episodes on DVD...I clearly need to schedule a rewatch.

I also have the videos, but being lazy this will make me finally do the re-watch I've been meaning to.

I missed it, but shall look out for more. Thank you for the alert! Edward Petherbridge/Harriet Walter is my favourite dramatisation of Wimsey and Harriet. I just can't believe that it was as long ago as 1987!

PS I have found that the next two episodes are on 15th and 22nd January at 8pm i.e. each Thursday night. It's worth keeping an eye on the Drama channel; recently I caught one of the Mrs Bradley Mysteries with Diana Rigg. http://drama.uktv.co.uk/shows/

I've not watched the Drama Channel before, but I'm going to keep a look-out henceforth. I've never seen the Mrs Bradley Mysteries, though I've read at least one of the books.

1987... About time for a new version, I feel! Just as long as they don't cast Benedict Cumberbatch as Wimsey. He might make a decent Bunter, though.

Drama often have good things. Just in the last few months there's been a North and South marathon, and all of the Forsyte Saga. Definitely worth keeping an eye out.

I'm feeling it's a bit ironic that this is a week I bought the Radio Times AND last week I searched RT online on a random punt that the Wimsey adaptations were being shown, and I leart about it on Facebook at the eleventh hour. In future I shall be keeping an eye on it much more attentively.
