I spent this weekend moving from my small central Oxford flat to an even smaller north of Oxford ground-floor maisonette. Whilst the new flat entails a daily bus commute, the buses are at least both regular and frequent, and the replacement of early morning refuse collection and late night student revelry with birdsong can only be an improvement. My arms are aching, I have cardboard boxes all over the floor, and I get to do it all again within a relatively short period of time, but at least I am temporarily sorted out, if in considerable moral debt to my parents for helping me lug stuff about, and temporarily without an internet connection. The latter is probably a good thing as having shifted lots of boxes has made me painfully aware that I need to deal with things like finance filing to reduce the amount of rubbish I’m carting round with me. Bank statements from student days: do not want!

I have committed to a three month let with an option of six, and my hope/intention is to get a new job and get out by the end of that period. I am feeling particularly inspired this morning rant )

In better news, at least for the sewing parents of small girls, Clothkits rides again!
