The poisons cupboard
Oct. 25th, 2012 02:22 pmAs part of project cut off the carpet beetle expeditionary force before they have established occupation, I bought borax from the chemist at lunch time to clean the kitchen cupboards. Boots has moved to “Borax substitute”, which like all substitutes is no doubt totally inadequate. I had to tell the chemist what I wanted it for as it is now on the EU “substance of very high concern” list (I discovered by Googling afterwards). I just have to hope that I don’t have an ex-boyfriend turn up dead from borax poisoning in the next twelve months.
According to Wikipedia borax is used “to clean the brain cavity of a skull for mounting”.
