I knew he married her (and that no-one told her Duncan Grant was her father rather than Clive Bell until she was 17) but I didn't know how deliberate it was, by this account at least. She did leave him eventually (I looked ahead to see).
My knowledge of Bloomsbury mostly involves Vita Sackville West, who isn't really, (little sister had a craze as part of her horticulture degree) and Carrington & Lytton Strachey rather than the Woolfs.
