An alert to those who may have missed it in comments to Yuletide Hell, azdak has been committing Bunter/Saint-George: The Rich Man in his Castle. And people say my mind is scary...
I'm new here and I liek totally love DLS. So I've been wondering, I don't think it's very realistic that PEter's in love with Harriet. Wouldn't a nobelman want to marry a princess of something?
That is very wrong of you. You have to look at the social context the books were written in. There was no such thign as gay sex in the 1920s and anyway Charles is a policeman so he wouldn't anyway even if there had bee. Which there wasn't.
Also, he makes Bunter act as his enabler, like when he goes on his honeymoon Bunter has to take all those bottles of wine for him. I think its really mean the way Bunter always has to do all the work and Peter just lounges around drinking,
Maybe Bunter likes being his enabler because he can keep him under his power. Adn did you read that totally brilliant fic in which Bunter gets Peter drunk so he hallucinates and then sleeps with him?
OMG, I wrote that, I'm so glad you liekd it, onyl why didn't you review, you bitca? you could ahve at leats favorited it or something.
I have to go to Pilates. It's dark outside and it's raining. I want to come back to a pefectly cooked supper and a hot bath. A husband is a very inadequate Bunter-substitute. And none of the wine I've got is the hallucination-inducing kind :-(
